The VP gets up and leaves before the game even started because of the disrespect shown by the players during the National Anthem
Vice President Mike Pence just wanted to watch the Peyton Manning retirement ceremony in Indianapolis today. Manning is the first Indianapolis-era Colt’s player to have his number retired and will also be inducted into the Colt’s Ring of Honor.
However, he didn’t make it to kickoff because about a dozen San Francisco 49ers players took a knee during the playing of the National Anthem. When Pence saw that, he abruptly got up and left the stadium. He tweeted “I left todays Colt’s game because @POTUS and I will not dignify any event that disrespects our soldiers, our flag, or our National Anthem.”
When will NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell grow a pair of balls and put a stop to this?
